Measurement of String Tension

When you have your racket strung at say 25 Kilos (55 pounds), you probably think that this is the tension of the strings.

This is not the case, as all strings lose tension in use. This means that the tension will be lower, but by how much?

This depends on the type of string, as they have different characteristics. You need to have some method of measuring the string tension.

One of the best methods to measure string tension is with the Tensometer which measures the tension electronically.
