Grip Colours

You will probably know that most grips come in a wide choice of colours with black and blue probably being the most popular.

You could have noticed that white grips are now being used by a larger number of players. This could simply be fashion, or it is possible that they actually provide a better grip.

This is, of course, the colour used by several professional players. It often happens that local players want to use the same products that the professionals use.

Recommended Grips

Ask several players which grip they use, and you will probably find that most of them use a different brand and/or type. This does not really help you when selecting a grip. One method is to try different grips until you find one that you like. The problem is that there are so many that you could find that a little help could be useful.

You are probably more interested in performance than price. The following grips have been tested by Racquet Technic and found to give very good results. They will only be suitable for certain players, and the description should help you to know if they will be suitable.

Kirschbaum Grips

Touch-it Ultra

This is a very thin Overgrip with an extra tacky surface. Players who have had problems with other grips slipping should try this one. The disadvantage is that you will need to replace this grip more frequently.

Colours: White only.

Touch-it

This is the standard version that is slightly thicker, and a little less tacky. Players should find that this has more durability combined with good non-slip properties. It is also a lower cost which should make it more popular with many players.

Colours: Black or White.
